Mumble

For voice communication during raids, strikes, or other cooperative activities (or just to hang out) a Mumble server is available.

You can reach the server via the address nightowls.coffee and the default port (64738).

Mumble Client

The Mumble server and client are free and open source, and can be acquired via package managers (e.g. Chocolatey for Windows) as well as mumble.info.

Configuration

Server

You can hit the link at the top of the page which should open the corresponding dialogues, otherwise follow the following steps.

To add the server go to ServerConnect… to open the window (which should be open by default on starting the client). After that hit Add New… and enter the address nightowls.coffee, enter your preferred username, add it and then connect to it.

Certificates

If Mumble wants you to create a certificate, just click through it, and store the file you get (though it’s not really that important unless you use Mumble for more important things).

Noise Cancelling

Please do all of us a favour and at some point navigate to SettingsAudio InputAudio ProcessingNoise supression and set the algorithm to RNNoise. You (or rather your fellow players) will notice a significant reduction in background noise.
